Max Burstyn
PROJECTIONS & MAPPING

Since November 2018, Max has been using TouchDesigner and Unreal Engine 5 to create interactive projection-mapped visuals for arts and music events throughout London, and in 2025 he designed visual and lighting systems for large-scale festivals across Europe including Boom, Modem, and OwnSpirit. He holds three VJ residencies with underground live music organisations (MOB, Sub:System, and Creatures), he has produced work for London Fashion Week, and many small festivals across the UK.

Max focuses on environmental immersion, crossing boundaries between hyperrealism and surrealism. His aim is to completely transport audiences from the physical events space to other worlds using techniques such as multi-projector setups, real-time mapping, and crowd interactivity.
